now? LUCID DREAMING TIPS Before you read further ahead onto anything in this section, you should note that the tips here are made for those who are already experienced with the PhotoReading step of the PhotoReading Whole Mind System, and who are working with lucid dreaming. For more information on both these methods, and for learning materials, visit the Books section. Tips for Achieving Lucidity --The basics of achieving lucidity revolve for most around a few things - the dream journal, reality checks, dream signs, and practice. The dream journal increases dream recall. Remembering dreams is the first step. Dream signs can be recognized during reality checks and day to day life to find the similarities your dreams have in common. Practice makes perfect, and don't let up. Make your lucid dreaming activities part of your daily, normal life. Don't have something else get in the way, like staying up late one night to finish something or anything like that. Always give yourself enough time to dream, and sleep deeply. --Many have experienced success with increasing the vividness of dreams by trying out the WILD method, or Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Try setting your alarm to gently wake you in the middle of the night. Stay up for 5-15 minutes, and then go back to sleep. --Make solid, concrete affirmations. Repeat over and over as you're dozing off, "I'm going to have a lucid dream," and statements like this. This also goes along with methods such as the white and black dot. --Though it's not under final release, owners of the Brainwave Generator Software can try Hagbard's LD Test Preset. You can download it here. It's under the name bill perry, labeled "LD Test Preset." You may also view others' experiences/commentary here. |
